· Availability of customers. It so happened that in addition to the main work, in my life there were always part-time jobs. I never provided recruiting services on an industrial scale, but managed to close several additional applications per month.

Clients appeared by themselves, mainly on the recommendation, in a chain from one to another. I was lucky and the areas of activity of the companies did not overlap, so the ethical component of my work was always observed. If the client flow is stable, then you can safely think about working outside the state of a particular organization.

· The desire to better manage your time. At a certain stage of work, the company began to experience internal discomfort: when the main workload is relatively small, and there are clients who ask for help right now.

· Thirst for change and career options.  Having worked for several years in one organization and having no chance of career growth, I began to think about where to move on. In addition to switching to freelance, I considered several alternative options with a change in employer and specialization.

 After the interviews in the oil and mining companies with a focus on recruiting and sports club networks with a focus on staff development, I appreciated how my life will change in connection with the transition. I finally realized that working in a rigid structure goes against my inner feelings.

·  The right to make a mistake. Thinking about my professional future as a freelancer, I clearly decided on my attitude to mistakes and failures, or rather, I prepared for them.

At the moment I am leading 2 outsourcing companies in terms of staff recruitment. This is my former employer and client, with whom we have been cooperating for the last 4 years.

And with that, and with another, an agreement was concluded for the provision of recruitment services by the end of this year. I leave the office 2-3 times a week, the rest of the time I work remotely, always in touch.

Now I’m not looking for new recruiting clients, as the current amount of work and income from this activity suits me. I have prepared options for attracting new customers, I constantly monitor the job market for HR and recruiting, as I keep in mind that I do not have guaranteed employment right now.

So actually the idea was born to provide career counseling services for the younger generation. I worked on marketing services and sales techniques in the same place: I determined the target audience, the principles for identifying the “deep pain” of my client, and an action plan for the development of this area was outlined, with the main milestones and performance indicators.

Now I build a site on Tilda myself, create business cards and attractive postcards on the Canva service, transfer tests, and polls to Google forms. The first customers came after training at a sales school.

They managed to attract others through a school group in Viber, in which the parents of my daughter’s classmates are members. I suggested to my former colleagues at work that they provide free career guidance diagnostics for their children, after which there also appeared those who wanted to use the service on a paid basis.

The pandemic has adjusted my plans regarding the organization of training for teenagers, through which I also planned to attract clients, but now life is returning to normal and the stages of implementation that were outlined last year will be implemented.

Among the next steps in business development: launching a site, writing articles on professional topics, searching for a professional community for the exchange of experience, and much more.

How to start freelancing as an HR-manager. In my case, the career of an entrepreneur became a logical development of events, since a certain base for this step was prepared in advance.

This year I will have to pay a certain amount on my own pension and health insurance, regardless of whether I have income or not. In the Irkutsk region only in July 2020, they plan to introduce a tax on professional activities, now I work as an individual entrepreneur on the simplified tax system.

Organization of the workplace.  If you plan to work at home, you need to take care of a convenient workplace in advance. When working on Skype, it is very important to foresee what your client will see in the background. It is very important for me to create the right impression, and at a distance, it is more difficult to achieve than live.

The second point to remember when organizing work at home is the impact of your work on family members. In my case, everything looked fine before the general quarantine.

The child was at school, her husband at work. I could do the work relatively calmly. During the pandemic, I had to agree primarily with my daughter that having a mother at home does not cancel her working day.

Internal fears  – perhaps this is the main problem of switching to freelance for me. It’s not about recruiting, here I feel like a fish in the water. It is about the desire to develop as a career consultant. My recommendation to beginners and doubters is to doubt less and do more.

Construct a constructive approach to their mistakes and gaps, turn ignorance into a zone of proximal development. Methodically and calmly approach the solution of tasks.

Experience and a positive business reputation have allowed me to quietly switch to freelance and engage in a project from which I get real pleasure. In the near future: finalizing the site, working with Instagram and promoting a personal brand. The main thing is to have self-confidence and a sincere desire to benefit, everything else is a matter of time.
